**************************************** You're NOT Fat - You HAVE Fat! **************************************** You don't call yourself 'muscle' do you? You don't say "I am hair", right? You don't believe that you ARE skin either. You're aware that you HAVE all these things but you don't say you ARE them. But fat seems to come under a different set of rules for most people, doesn't it? People say "I AM FAT!" and accept this as a statement of truth and, worse, accept that it means something to do with their value as a person. It goes something like this... "Fat is bad therefore more fat is bad therefore those who have more fat are..." No wonder most people feel so... shit!... about themselves, don't you think? Yet it's so EASY to change! It simply takes the change of ONE word and everything changes. Exchange AM for HAVE and you go from feeling like a dis-empowered loser to feeling powerful and hopeful. If you stopped saying "I AM fat!" and started saying "I HAVE fat" you could approach your fat loss without all the shitty emotions, stories and judgements that don't serve you or make you happy. I AM fat makes you wrong, bad, weak... a failure of some kind. I HAVE fat makes this simply an observation that something about your lifestyle is not serving you. Imagine if, from this point forward you outright REFUSED to use the prefix 'I AM' in relation to your weight, your size, your bodyfat % and simply stated the facts as they are. "I AM fat" is an outright lie. "I have more fat on my body than I'd like" is telling yourself the truth. You're not fat.
