Is poor hydration ruining your performance?

Let’s take is back a step. 🪜

Why is hydration so important? 🧐

It has been widley researched that a loss of sweat equal to 2% of body weight causes a noticeable decrease of physical and mental performance.  Losses of 5% or more of body weight during physical activities may decrease the capacity for work by roughly 30%. 📉

Can you afford to be performing at 70% all the time?
Having the correct hydration status will improve your mood, your energy levels, your performance and it will also suppress hunger. 🤯

We recommend drinking between 3 and 4 liters of water each day. With that said, however the only really way of knowing if your body is hydrated well is by checking the colour of your pee. (Yuk). 👀

Our aim for every toilet stop should be to have pale yellow or straw coloured pee. If that’s achieved then you are perfectly hydrated. 👏

If not, then use this chart to establish what action you need to take to get to the perfect level of hydration. 💦

Remember, dehydration leads to a significant drop in performance. So if you want to be on your A game. Address your hydration status regularly. (Even if it is a bit yucky) 👍
