Richard started training with us in 2016 after he found that knee pains and forearm strains had slowed down his progress on the bike.
Richard was put onto a strength and conditioning programme which focussed highly on back and front squats as well as unilateral leg exercises. Richard also joined a gym so that he could take what he was learning during PT sessions and apply them on his own with confidence.
After a short period of time, Richard was seeing very positive benefits from his strength programme. He is now squatting over 100kg with ease. The pains in the back of his knees have disappeared, his forearms are dealing better under pressure and he is able to attempt longer distances and hills whilst sitting back in his seat.
These 2 certificates show that just one year apart, Richard managed to complete the race an incredible 1 hour faster!
Richard is highly motivated, keen to learn and always ready to try anything. He is shocked that we are still adding new exercises to his programme each week.
